Here is Treggon Owens shooting a bit of footage on a beautiful December 11-12th, 2008.  This was taken above the 30 foot test pool at Scripps Institute of Oceanography in La Jolla, CA.  This pool is used to test scientific instruments to a depth of 30 feet.  The salt water pool actually uses the same water that is pumped through the scripps aquarium.  A scientific instrument was under test in this 30 foot saltwater environment. 

We used the Tregtronics underwater video production setup, with two HD cameras to record the entire test for marketing purposes.  In this shot, one camera is set up on the edge of the 1'st tier at 30 feet, while Treggon is holding a surface camera.  On a second shot, one underwater camera was set up at the bottom of the pool, and a second on the ledge of the pool.  The underwater camera operators were not allowed in the pool at the time of the test due to the 'intense acoustic sounds made during the release of the instrument'.  Multiple takes over two days allowed us to get the footage we wanted.

The underwater video taken in this test will be used for the company website, as well as in the company's press release kit.  Tregtronics was happy to supply underwater videography support, in the form of underwater camera equipment, an expert underwater camera operator, and video editing support.
